In February 2020, to start big we discovered a brand name that felt like home & much more powerful to become a brand:
"ZORKO"
A word we grew up hearing from our mother and grandmother:
"Zorko kaam karjo"
— Do everything with full power.
It was more than a word.
It became our mindset. Our identity. Our way of life.

4 DAYS THAT CHANGED OUR LIFE
One of the co-founders, Anand Nahar, was getting married on 1st March 2020.
While most people would have been busy only with wedding preparations… we saw something else: An opportunity.
Hundreds of people were going to gather. Families, relatives, guests, friends — everyone in one place.
And we believed: "Never miss an opportunity to start."
Everything happened at lightning speed. Within just 4 days:
Not in a corporate event. Not in a fancy seminar. But at the co-founder's own marriage function.
That wedding became ZORKO's first launch event, its first customer interaction, and its first marketing campaign.
What looked like a family function to others became the first stepping stone of ZORKO's journey. Just courage to begin.

- On 24th February 2020, trademark was applied
- And on 28th February 2020, ZORKO was officially launched

ZORKO started as a traditional drink company.
We didn't have a team. We didn't have manpower.
So we became everything ourselves:
From small society events to Dumas Beach in Surat, we carried the business on our own shoulders.
The start was extremely small. But the belief was big.

WHEN THE WORLD STOPPED
Just when things had started moving… COVID-19 arrived.
Everything paused. The business stopped before it could even properly begin.
But instead of feeling defeated, we accepted it positively. We had not invested heavily:

WHEN BUSINESS TURNED INTO SERVICE
During COVID, we saw people suffering everywhere. Families were struggling. Health became the biggest concern.
Coming from a family where our grandfather and father were doctors, and with guidance from medical professionals and learnings from Manav Teerth, we decided to do something meaningful.
That is when we launched: ZORKO Immunity Boosters
This was not started for profit. It was started for people.
We distributed lakhs of immunity boosters across India during COVID. People appreciated it because it was gentle on the stomach and suitable for regular use.
Every packet carried care. Our entire family came together to pack the pouches.
Those days did not feel like business. They felt like responsibility.

As things progressed, we kept experimenting.
We saw farmers struggling to sell their products, so we expanded into:

Then came the second wave of COVID.
Restaurants and cafés across the country started shutting down. Many businesses became silent.
But during that difficult time, we saw opportunity.
We were always food lovers and always wanted to build something in food. We believed food business had endless possibilities through innovation, affordability, and scale.
That belief led us to launch our first café in Vesu, Surat.

We worked inside the café day and night. Almost 14 hours daily.

We spoke to customers personally. We asked for feedback. Listened carefully. Improved every day.

We are engineers by profession. No one in our family or friend circle had experience in food business.
So we learned everything ourselves:
